Hideaway kitchen is a disappearing act

 

While we don't claim to be magicians, this disappearing kitchen act by designer Lauren Hare, is one of our favourites. The kitchen in this home is part of a larger open-plan living space, and as such the clients wanted to be able to "make the kitchen disappear" when it suited them. Lauren's solution was to create a false wall comprising floor-to-ceiling doors that open to reveal a fully featured kitchen. The end result speaks for itself: now you see it, now you don't

Kitchen benchtops: white engineered stone and stainless steel

Kitchen cupboards: Hafele HAWA bi-folding, retractable doors with timber mouldings, all in polyurethane paint
