Westmere kitchen is 1970 re-imagined

Auckland Architect Andrew Meiring's design for the renovation of his own home, was an exercise in precision, that left little room for error. In the kitchen, floor to ceiling cabinetry with a 10mm negative detail top and bottom looks stunning but was a challenge to manufacture and install. Suffice to say the finished kitchen is a triumph that showcases a beautifully resolved design with a modern nod to the 70s.

Granite and stainless benchtops, timber panelling and lacquered cabinets create a harmonious palette with all forms linked together by their floor-to-ceiling profile. Restful, cool, and stylish, this kitchen renovation is much classier than 1970 ever could have been.
